Covering multiple disciplines, the ISVV has acquired an international stature within the University of Bordeaux, where it carries out original and innovative actions

  • Large-scale partnerships with the academic and industrial stakeholders in the Vine & Wine world are being developed in both education and research, and currently form part of the OENOVITI/OENODOC network consisting of around 55 partners in association with the Fondation Bordeaux Université

  • The integration of the international dimension into the academic process and the development of mobility opportunities for all students and staff (doctoral students, teaching and research staff, etc.) is one of the ISVV's key strengths (joint thesis supervision, international colloquia on topical subjects, Erasmus exchanges for incoming and outgoing students, etc.).
  • The ISVV is developing European education and training (WINTOUR  Master, Erasmus Mundus, Joint Franco-Spanish Master's, OENOBIO program of intensive training in Vine & Wine Biology, etc.) and research programs (development and preparation of multi-centric European research projects on Vine & Wine: strategic partnerships, ITN, etc.).

The ISVV has placed the internationalization of   its programs and the hosting of foreign researchers (at Bachelor's, Master's, Doctoral, and Post-Doctoral level, in addition to junior and senior researchers) at the heart of its international policy.
