Born in Bordeaux, a graduate of Sciences-Po Bordeaux and a postgraduate degree in Political Science – International Relations from the University of Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne, Brigitte BLOCH first spent her career in several local authorities in Ile-de-France, the North and Aquitaine, notably as chief of staff to the mayor of Tourcoing and as chief of staff to the President of the Aquitaine Regional Council.

She then headed the Aquitaine Regional Tourism Committee for 16 years, until its merger into the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Regional Tourism Committee in June 2017. She now holds the position of Director in charge of development and innovation.

Between 2020 and 2026, Brigitte BLOCH was a Bordeaux city councillor in charge of tourism and the wine economy and vice-president of Bordeaux Métropole in charge of tourism, events and metropolitan facilities and president of the Bordeaux Metropolis Tourist and Convention Bureau.

Committed for more than 25 years to the regional and national development of wine tourism, she has supported the structuring, promotion and development of the sector as vice-president of the dedicated division of Atout France, France's tourism development agency, and of the National Higher Council for Wine Tourism.
