Cristina Reguant obtained her PhD (Rovira I Virgili University, Tarragona, Spain) in 2001 and had a postdoctoral position in Cornell University (US) until 2004. She is professor at the Oenology Faculty of Rovira i Virgili University since 2005. Her research is focused on lactic acid bacteria (LAB) and malolactic fermentation (MLF). She has worked mainly on the study of wine LAB dynamics of populations, LAB molecular identification techniques and O. oeni stress response during MLF. Current research activity is focused on the effect of non-Saccharomyces yeasts on MLF.
