The first Summer School OENOBIO (Erasmus +) started this Monday, July 15th!
36 students from the 5 partner universities of the project gathered for two weeks at the University of Geisenheim (Germany) on the theme of viticulture and organic oenology. Lectures, workshops, technical visits, field experiences and intercultural exchanges are on the agenda of this first summer school. 11 countries are represented among students and professors. This first Summer School is part of the many objectives of the OENOBIO strategic partnership funded by the Erasmus + program until 2021. This project brings together 5 European universities (University of Bordeaux, University Rovira i Virgili, University of Turin, University of Geisenheim, University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Bucharest) and two unions of organic vine growers (Winemakers Bios New Aquitaine and ECOVIN), and is coordinated by the University of Bordeaux (ISVV). The purpose of this cooperation: to meet the growing needs of the sector on organic expertise. Two new Summer Schools will be organized in 2020 and 2021 in Tarragona (Spain) and Turin (Italy). The next OENOBIO meeting is scheduled for 18 November 2019 for a scientific conference organized in Bucharest on the theme "Progress and Challenges of Organic Viticulture and Winemaking".   > More information: www.oenobio-project.eu
