Licence Professionnelle "Oenotourisme" (Vocational Bachelor’s Degree in Wine Tourism)
Aim of the program
This program is intended to support the diversification of management posts in wine tourism by developing the competencies of existing senior managers (continuing vocational training) and of future mid-level managers (initial training), who are intending to work in the following sectors:
- visitor reception,
- development of vine-growing and winemaking tourism,
- management of hospitality activities.
This involves training the future "Managers of wine tourism activities" within winemaking or tourism companies, and in territorial or socio-professional organizations in Aquitaine but also in other vineyards in France and abroad.

After following the program, students will be able to:
- Describe vine-growing methods and the stages of wine production
- Present the landscape environment of a winegrowing region and its history
- Present a tasting in at least two foreign languages
- Host a group of tourists, organize and present tours and events
- Identify the accommodation and catering needs associated with a tourism project
- Create a wine-tourism product using digital and e-marketing technologies
- Carry out sales and promotional activities for wine-tourism products and services
- Develop a wine-tourism project and establish a labeling scheme in association with the regions concerned or professional networks.

Admission requirements
Applicants must be qualified to the following level:
- 2nd year of a Bachelor's degree level in Life Science, Geography or Applied Foreign Languages
- BTS (2-year advanced vocational training certificate) or DUT (2-year undergraduate technical diploma)
- DUT in Sales Techniques and Tourism Marketing Policy
- BTS in Hospitality & Catering or International Hospitality Management
- BTS in Viticulture-Oenology or Wines & Spirits Trade
- Holders of a foreign diploma at an equivalent level, covering the same topics
In vocational training, different categories of employees or self-employed workers may be eligible for admission (tourism professionals wishing to specialize in wine tourism, or wine-sector professionals seeking to integrate wine tourism into their businesses), provided that they are holders of the above-mentioned diplomas.
The program is available on an initial and continuing vocational training basis, but also in the framework of a professionalization (work-study) contract, and on the Recognition of Prior Learning (VAE) and Recognition of Occupational Learning (VAP) schemes.
Examination of applications by a special board followed by an oral interview in English and French.
15 students in initial training and 10 in continuing vocational training/ on professionalization contracts will be selected according to the following criteria:
- Motivation and career plans
- Proficiency in the English language
- Results obtained in the 1st cycle of higher education
Program
The training is delivered over one year, from September to September, according to the European Credit Transfer System, with two semesters consisting of:
- Teaching Units (TUs)
- A professionalization period:
- A 16-week in-company internship starting in April for students in initial training
- an in-company period (equivalent to 6 months) spread out throughout the year for trainees on professionalization contracts (2 days per week from September to April and then full time for the 5 months between April and September)

Information about Professionalization Contracts
The program may be followed on an alternating work-study basis after the signature of a Professionalization Contract.
