Environment, Territories and Infrastructures
The "Environnement, territoires et infrastructures" Research Unit (UR ETBX) develops research on the territorial dynamics associated with the renewal of key environmental issues and climate change.
In response to the complexity of the questions covered, the UR ETBX favors interdisciplinary approaches combining human and social sciences (economics, sociology, geography and political science) with agronomy, statistics, applied mathematics and engineering science.
The UR ETBX is divided into two teams.
- The research carried out by the "Environnement, Acteurs et Développement Territorial" (EADT - Environment, Stakeholders and Territorial Development) team concerns the social construction of environmental issues and the "greening" of socio-economic processes and public action.
- The "Gestion Patrimoniale des Infrastructures liées à l’Eau" (GPIE - Asset Management of Water-Related Structures) team aims to generate knowledge, methods and tools relating to the asset management of water-related infrastructures (primarily water systems)
This research seeks to help territorial development stakeholders (public and private) see these issues in a new light and provide support for the creation of public action and for the evaluation of public policies.
