Political Science & Comparative Sociology
The Centre Emile Durkheim (CNRS UMR 5116), a political science and comparative sociology laboratory in Bordeaux, supports applications to the CNRS in section 40 and 36.
Situated at the heart of the University of Bordeaux and the Bordeaux Institute of Political Science (Sciences Po Bordeaux), the Centre Emile Durkheim brings together around fifty salaried sociologists and political scientists and over 70 doctoral candidates. Dedicated to their common commitment to comparative analysis, members of the CED propose to "sponsor" high-quality applications with strong links to our topics.
Research focuses
The scientific coordination of the topics in the form of seminars and study days seeks to integrate the research and theses in progress into the intellectual questions that are motivating the national and international debates in social science.
